What Tae Kwon Do Has Done For Me
What Lead By Example Tae Kwon Do has taught me was to always believe in myself even if it is challenging. Before I took tae-kwon-do, I didn't have as much confidence in myself as I do now. I didn't do as many things back then as I would have done because I didn't have enough confidence that I could really do it. Now that I take tae-kwon-do, I normally try new things and I usually like them most of the time. With out confidence (and a little encouragement from my friends) I wouldn't have done some of the things I do now like basketball. If I didn't have confidence, it sure would be hard to play piano in front of everybody!!!
Another great thing Tae Kwon Do has taught me was focus. Before I took Tae Kwon Do, I would be doing my homework and remember something I wanted to do. After I did it I would forget all about my homework. Now that I take tae-kwon-do I rarely get distracted and when I do, I go right back to my work.
Tae-kwon-do helped me focus in many ways. My favorite way is balance. If you want to have good balance, you must also have good focus. When I hold up my knee or do belt stretches, it really helps to focus on one thing.
I would like to thank my wonderful teachers for helping me get this far. I would also want to thank my Mom and Dad for helping me practice and for bringing me to tae-kwon-do. This is what Lead By Example Tae Kwon Do has done for me.
